I partnered with Green & Black’s for this post but all opinions are my own.
For as fancy as it looks and feels, chocolate fondue is surprisingly easy to pull off. And HELLO! DELICIOUSNESS! If you’re looking for a quick and special treat to share with your valentine, galentine, or to just enjoy on your own (I won’t tell!), I HIGHLY recommend Julie Van Rosendaal’s recipe. The Dinner With Julie blogger, cookbook author and food columnist created this fantastic dark chocolate fondue for two for Green & Black’s chocolate and I’ve got it for you here, along with a giveaway I think you’ll love.
Note: Don’t be afraid to heat the cream in the microwave — just make sure you keep an eye on it and use 15- to 30-second intervals so it doesn’t burn.
Julie Van Rosendaal’s Quick & Easy Dark Chocolate Fondue for Two
Recipe courtesy of Julie Van Rosendaal of Dinner with Julie for Green & Black’s
Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Serves: 2
3/4 cup (175mL) heavy whipping cream (35%)
200 g (2 bars) Green & Black’s 70% Dark chocolate, chopped
Assorted fruit and cookies
In a small saucepan, bring cream to a simmer over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate. Transfer to a small fondue pot or serve it in a warmed bowl, with fruit, cookies or other dippings of your choice.
Note: To make white chocolate fondue, swap dark chocolate for two Green & Black’s White chocolate bars, and reduce cream to 1/2 cup (125mL).
To serve a crowd, double or triple the recipe.
