Cactus Coloring Book by Brittany Jepsen + Win a copy!

My blogger crush Brittany Jepsen of The House That Lars Built surprised fans this month with her second coloring book, Cactus Coloring Book: Cacti and Succulent Patterns for Beautiful Color Play. As you’d expect, she threw the most ah-mazing release party (in her home state of Utah, dammit dammit) with hands-on workshops for paper and cupcake cacti and how to care for your plants. Brittany sent me a copy of the book and another to share with one of you. Come take a peek!ย

Cactus Coloring Book is the follow up to Flowers Coloring Bookย (check it out in myย blog post and giveawayย from June). Like Flowers it’s compiled like a catalogue, with a scientific chart for each variety of cactus and succulent, along withย bouquets, patterns, close-ups and mirrored views. The degree of detail varies, making it a book for colourers with a variety of skill levels and tastes.

Ten plants are featured: Agave, Aloe, Cathedral Cactus, Climbing Cactus, Joshua Tree, Mexican Snowball, Pincushion, Prickly Pear, Rat Tail Cactus and Saguaro.

Brittany drew all of the illustrations and they’re on one side of the page only. I think we can all agree that two-sided colouring pages are annoying, so thank you Brittany.

Saguaro is my favourite.

And yes we can talk about this pillow for a sec. It’s from Simonsย here in Ottawa but you can order it online. Urban Outfittersย did the piรฑataย (isn’t it sweet?).
